Tashina Gorgone is a partner with Maddox & Gerock, P.C. in Falls Church, Virginia. Tashina focuses her practice in the areas of family law and appellate litigation. Tashina handles all areas of family law, from custody to child support to property distribution and has particular experience and interest in complex custody cases, having handled cases involving allegations of domestic violence, substance abuse, and sexual abuse. She has successfully litigated relocation cases as well as assisted both mothers and fathers in obtaining primary or shared custody of their children.

To Tashina, the most rewarding aspect of practicing law is the challenge of problem-solving; she strives to help families develop and effectuate a plan that not only addresses their immediate needs, but provides them with peace of mind for the future. She is adept at determining what cases are ripe for alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation or settlement conferences, and she is trained in collaborative law, where she helps parties separate or divorce without turning to litigation. However, when a case must be tried in court, she is able to effectively and comprehensively prepare and deliver strong oral advocacy on behalf of her client and their family.

Tashina graduated from The University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of the Arts and obtained her law degree from George Mason University School of Law with a concentration in Litigation. While attending George Mason, Tashina was an active member of the Moot Court Team, where she won First Place in the Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition. She also served as a Notes Editor on the George Mason Law Review and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Association.

Tashina is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Tashina serves on various Boards of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (including the Family Law Section and the Women’s Caucus) and the Northern Virginia Women's Attorney Association, and she is actively involved in the Fairfax Bar Association. She also conciliates in the Fairfax Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, has volunteered as a judge for local law school mock trial events, hosted courtroom tours for Fairfax County middle school students, and spoken at local middle schools about the legal profession.

Tashina is a Super Lawyers of Virginia "Rising Star"; she is also recognized annually in Best Lawyers in America and Virginia Business Legal Elite in the practice area of Family Law.

Tashina Gorgone is a Northern Virginia native, and currently resides in Fairfax with her husband, Alex, and their two beagles, Copper and Penny. In her spare time, Tashina can be found traveling, or performing with various local community theatre groups, with which she has appeared in a wide variety of productions ranging from musicals to Shakespeare.
